Idea and team
The KOAMI research center is affiliated with the professorship for Private Social Law at the University of Basel's Faculty of Law. Among other things, it deals with the effects of the digitalization of the world of work, health, personal and data protection in the employment relationship and the internationalization of employment law in connection with cross-border work.
Economics, social, societal and technological change offer opportunities for employers and employees - but they also bring with them new challenges and legal problems. This also applies to collective employment law and the law of internal participation. Both areas of law are of great practical importance, but have so far received (too) little legal research.
The KOAMI research center aims to change this with its focus. Prof. Dr. iur. Kurt Pärli and his team discuss current issues relating to collective employment law and co-determination law as part of Master's and PhD students' theses as well as academic publications.
The KOAMI research center also offers tailor-made solutions in the form of legal reports and counselings on issues relating to collective employment law and co-determination law.
The KOAMI team currently passes the following persons:
- Prof. Dr. iur. Kurt Pärli, Professor of Private Social Law at the University of Basel and head of the KOAMI research center
- Dr. iur. Nic Frei, Deputy Head of the KOAMI Research Unit
- Nicola Mussio, BLaw, student assistant at the professorship for Private Social Law and student co-worker at the KOAMI Research Center
- Antje Stadelmann, administrative research associate at the professorship for Private Social Law and at the KOAMI Research Center
