Informed Consent for Organoid Use
The white paper highlights the need to reconsider existing informed consent practices in the light of advances in organoid research.
It suggests some slight amendments to general informed consent forms but also looks at the main challenges, such as the use and sharing of organoids, their commercialisation, and how information about organoids is communicated to donors.
The main goal is to foster a unified understanding of organoid technology and to encourage a constructive dialogue on how to improve consent practices in the future.
