Metaverse - Utopia or Dystopia?

The digital world seems to be merging with the analog one and total immersion via a metaverse is getting closer and closer. This event will explore the phenomenon from a variety of angles. Be part of it!

The way we communicate and share information on the Internet is constantly evolving. Purely text-based websites have long since evolved into platforms where we share images and videos. Virtual meetings have been part of many people's agenda since the pandemic at the latest, and younger generations already spend a large part of their free time in virtual environments. The digital world seems to be merging with the analog one, and total immersion via a metaverse is getting closer and closer. 

In the context of this event, the phenomenon will be examined from a wide variety of perspectives. Besides insights from research, concrete practical projects in the metaverse will be presented and the future of the metaverse as well as the social implications will be discussed.
