Open Access

Open Access refers to the worldwide free access to scientific publications via the Internet. This enables researchers and the public to utilise research results without barriers. According to the Open Access strategies of the University of Basel, the Swiss National Science Foundation and swissuniversities, publicly funded research results must be published open access at least via the secondary publication route after an embargo period.

The Faculty of Law is open to open access initiatives. However, open access is currently not practicable for some of our faculty's publications. On this page you will find information and tools for dealing with Open Access at the Faculty.
