Save the Date: Methods for Interdisciplinary Legal Research: Methodological Integration Across Disciplines

The public workshop will focus on data protection, the regulation of artificial intelligence, and health crises. All of these challenges increasingly require interdisciplinary research approaches. At the two-day workshop organized by EUCOR universities, particularly the University of Basel and the University of Freiburg, existing forms of collaboration between legal studies and the social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and engineering will be discussed aiming at developing methodological foundations to systematically integrate diverse research methods.

This event is primarily designed for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in legal studies but is also open to early-career researchers from other disciplines who are interested in interdisciplinary research at the interface with law.

Students, who want to attain credit points, need to enroll in the workshop in the autumn semester 2026 via the usual enrollment process.  A link to the course catalog (Lehrveranstaltungsverzeichnis) will follow.

Registration for external participants is required by October 30, 2026.

The registration link and program flyer will follow shortly.
