Liliane Obrecht published the article «Rulings and automated individual decision-making – same same but different?» as part of the project «Comprehensible algorithms: a legal framework for the use of artificial intelligence» in the journal for young junior researchers ex/ante. Against the background of the revision of the Data Protection Act, the article examines the question of whether rulings in terms of Article 5 Administrative Procedure Act (APA) can be qualified as automated individual decisions without further implication. The publication can be accessed in full text here (in German only).
