The library of the Faculty of Law (JF) is a subject-specific reference library that is open to all interested parties. As a matter of principle, the holdings - Swiss, foreign and international law - can only be used within the library. Only employees of the Faculty of Law, including doctoral students and other persons with a personally assigned long-term workstation, are eligible to borrow items for internal use.

However, the jurisprudential holdings of the University Library Basel (UBH) - Swiss law literature and mainly works of an interdisciplinary nature - can be borrowed.
