Consequences of the Russian War of Aggression for Science and Research in Ukraine

On 24 February 2023, the initiative Ukrainian Research in Switzerland (URIS) in cooperation with the Faculty Fund for Ukrainian Researchers at Risk and the Unit National & International Cooperation of the University of Basel is planning a public conference in the Kollegienhaus on the topic Consequences of the Russian War of Aggression for Science and Research in Ukraine.

With this conference we want to shed light on the topic of the event from as many different perspectives and angles as possible. In various presentations by Ukrainian scientists, we will discuss the current situation of universities and research institutions in different regions of Ukraine, students, PhD students, postdocs and professors, as well as various disciplines suffering from the consequences of the war.

The conference language is English. The event is open to the public and is aimed at all members of the university and the interested urban public.

This conference will be followed by a panel discussion in the auditorium of the University of Basel, where you are also welcome to attend.
